The works done so far in the Lágymányosi bay

The works done so far in the Lágymányosi bay:

• Having the bottom of the bay swept 200.000 m3 of slurry has been removed and around the bay shore a retaining wall was built.
• Tones of fish settled in the water, which is annually renewed.
• 25.000 m3 of communal garbage, debris and trash, built up throughout the decades, have been carried away from the development site.
• Having demolished the old concrete-works the outer river walls have been strengthened.
• During the development of the system of public utilities 3.5 km of high voltage cables, 2.3 km of public lightning network, 2.2 km of sewage system, 1.7 km of which is pressed and 0.5 km gravitational, 15 lifting pumps, 2.1 km water pipes, 1.9 km gas-main have been laid. For the public lightning Öböl XI Kft. has also created a second electric loop.
• From the direction of Andalgó street a double consol look-out pier leaning above the water has been built in the park and opened for visitors.
• A floating stage can be found on the eastern surface o the bay which is surrounded by an open air audience of 2500 spectators.
• Along the western shores of the bay there is a sandy beach of 1.2 hectare created.
• Along Kopaszi dike the 14 newly renovated buildings are meant to function as restaurants cafes and event halls.
• 15.000 m2 of paths and walkways have been created and covered with natural wood- and stonework.
• In the area of the park brand new and design lamps, street furniture and dustbins have been placed.
• Having the old and rotten trees chopped down, the existing trees have been protected against environmental threats and also 2600 new saplings of different species have been planted.
• 150 shelters for birds have also been placed on the trees of the park.
• Spartacus Sport Club has moved into its renovated club and boat-house of 700 m2 where 150 children and 50 adult sportsmen do their work-out sessions every day. There is also a grass football pitch belonging to that facility equipped with lightning for night usage.
• In the park a new playground for children have been built which meets the EU requirements, at the entrance of the park the new 350 m2 police headquarter can be found together with the port for regular passenger boat lines.
• The investment costs of the project so far have been over 5 billion HUF.
